In a significant step toward sustainable development, Shanghai Reli, a leading player in the industrial equipment sector, has been awarded the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verification Statement by TÜV SÜD, a globally recognized certification body. The certification, aligned with ISO 14064-1:2018 and ISO 14064-3:2019 standards, validates Shanghai Reli’s rigorous carbon management system and marks its commitment to transparent, science-based emissions reduction.
The verification process spanned six months, covering Shanghai Reli’s full operational scope—including direct emissions (Scope 1) from on-site energy use, indirect emissions (Scope 2) from purchased electricity, and key value chain emissions (Scope 3) such as raw material transportation. TÜV SÜD’s audit team conducted thorough document reviews and on-site inspections, verifying data integrity and consistency with international GHG accounting protocols.

For industrial enterprises, GHG verification has become a critical competitive advantage amid tightening global carbon regulations and growing market demand for low-carbon supply chains. The certification enables Shanghai Reli to better navigate frameworks like the EU’s CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and enhance its access to international markets. It also identifies high-emission links, laying the groundwork for targeted energy-saving measures and cost optimization.
TÜV SÜD’s representative noted that Shanghai Reli’s achievement sets a benchmark for the industry. “By voluntarily pursuing comprehensive GHG verification, Shanghai Reli showcases leadership in integrating sustainability into business strategy,” the representative commented. Looking ahead, Shanghai Reli plans to leverage the verification results to set ambitious carbon reduction targets and explore collaborative low-carbon initiatives across its supply chain, reinforcing its role as a responsible industrial innovator.
